Some of the photos were photographed from the top of a hill (koppie) in the middle of the bushveld. Johan Smit sat with me for the full duration of the photo – which I’m very grateful for, and luckily it wasn’t too cold. The sound of the bush always amazes me, and it’s always special to hear a jackal in the background. Another amazing observation were that even if you think that you are far away from city light and other small holdings, is that you can see them very clearly in the night time.
A short while ago my wife and myself went with friend of ours to Leeuwkloofpark. This park is situated north of Pretoria, close to the Dinokeng game reserve. It’s approximately an hours drive north of Pretoria. Needless to say the company was awesome. The bushveld were amazing as well where the bushveld has its winter jacket fully on.
